I had the distinct pleasure of watching a summer concert in Krakow on TV … and I feel it my duty to report that no two words in the polish language rhyme. none.

So imagine this. In Austria there is a mandatory military service – nowadays you can opt for civil service/volunteer work instead, but in the old days you had to have a pretty good reason. A certain Mr. Darabos had one – he was a pacifist, and refused to carry a weapon. He is now our Minister of Defense, never having served – and even better, refusing to serve, in the military. He is also doing his damndest to prevent a shipment of top-class fighter planes contracted out by the previous administration. gotta love it here.

So anyway, it’s been about 30° here for a month or so, and the flowers are loving it.
